Topics addressed include Florida Bar trust account rules and applicable ethics opinions, key definitions, and best practices.

Judith D. Equels
Judith Equels leads The Florida Bar’s Diversion and Discipline Consultation Service (DDCS), which is a professional enhancement program within The Florida Bar’s Legal Division. Ms. Equels assists attorneys enrolled in Florida Bar diversion and discipline related programs, conducting formal administrative management reviews of law firms throughout the state. Ms. Equels has over 40 years of law office and practice management related experience. Before joining The Florida Bar staff as a law office management advisor, Ms. Equels worked as a law firm administrator and law firm management consultant. As a management consultant with Hildebrandt International, she assisted law firms and corporate legal departments in both the United States and Canada. As a legal administrator, Ms. Equels managed several law firms of varying sizes, from small firms to multiple branches of national and international law firms. She is an active member of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), and has served in leadership roles at the national, regional, and local levels of ALA since 1982. Judith Equels has served as an adjunct professor in law practice management at The Florida State University College of Law and is a frequent speaker at CLE seminars.
