Florida Courts E-Filing Portal to Stop Support of Old Browsers
Beginning October 28, the Florida courts statewide electronic filing portal will no longer support Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 10 or older versions of the company’s web browsers. Microsoft stopped its technical and security support of the older web browsers in January 2016.
The older Microsoft browsers may continue to work with the portal, but if there are any difficulties, no technical support will be available from the portal’s service desk.
Law firms should have Internet Explorer 11 or newer versions (the latest is Microsoft Edge). The portal, which handles virtually all filing for the state court system, also works with Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari browsers.
A notice will be posted on the portal’s login page on August 18 and registered filers will also receive two emails from the authority that manages the portal about the change.
